Cross Country has had a great start to the new season, starting off with a couple top three finishes including a first place win.

Although Cross Country did well last year, they did not have such an impressive start.

“Cross Country did well last year,” junior track runner Raymond Benavidez says. “We weren’t as high on the ladder. We got top 30-10 through each race.”

When it comes to differences from last year, there are few but a new rising member of the team. Cameron DeLao has already gotten first place in the first meet at the Sunset Whitney Recreational Area.

“This great start is showing great potential for the upcoming year,” Joshua Dixon, junior cross country runner said. "Kennedy's XC (cross country) team has continued to thrive throughout the season by setting PRs.”

This year we have racked up a few real accolades.

The team had multiple top 3 placements at the Lagoon Valley Classic from our school; Ezekiel Luna, Jack Hasimoto, and Charles Eisenburg!

Our team's top 3 fastest boys have continued to dominate through the season as they moved towards finishing the chapter of their cross country season!

The cross country team has had a great start, and it seems to only be up from here as the new runners gain more experience!
