Week 4 vs Cordova High School

Recap


On Friday, September 27, the Kennedy Cougars took on Cordova High School in week 4 of the season. Coming off a loss from McClatchy High School (38-0), the Cougars were ready for another win this season. 


The Cougars took another loss in that previous game with a final score of 22-8. The Cougars fell behind by 13 at the half, and the Cougars couldn’t have a good drive to get into the end zone. In the 3rd quarter, Cordova pressured the Cougars into a safety, making the score 15-0. After the third quarter came to an end and the 4th quarter began, Cordova scored another touchdown making the score 22-0. Towards the end of the 4th quarter, the Cougars scored for the first time in the game – and, with the touchdown, the Cougars completed the 2 point conversion.



Week 5 vs Grant


On Friday, October 4, the Cougars took on Grant Union High School in week 5 of their season. Last season, Kennedy took a bad loss to Grant and with the most recent loss, people are interested in how this year's outcome will be. Grant has recently lost their recent game against Lincoln with a final score of 49-19.


Recap


Kennedy took a bad loss against Grant High School on Friday, October 4. Early in the game, Grant came out aggressive and played exceptional defense and offense. Grant got an early lead onto the Cougars and didn’t plan on stopping. The Cougars offense struggled to keep up against Grant’s aggressive defense. By halftime, the Cougars were down by 48. After the half, the Cougars continued to struggle and Grant continued to score. The final score came to 76-0. 


With the Cougars taking another unfortunate loss, the Cougars prepare for Destiny Christian Academy for their Homecoming game. Destiny Christian recently took a loss against West Park with a final score of 23-21. Halfway through the season, Kennedy students are hoping for another win before the season ends.
